My wife and I came here a few times already since we relocated to Dallas from San Francisco Bay Area. Their soup noodles and bento boxes are amazing! We actually felt their taste are better than the ones we had in the Bay Area

In my opinion, food's very authentic and delicious. Everything was very sanitary and clean. It's hard to have any private conversations in the place but oh well... who cares. So we all tried different dishes so we could all try different things. I got the pork chop with rice.. which is my default litmus test for any Taiwanese restaurant. The portions are just right and the selections in the side items were perfect for my culinary palette. My rating woud be a 5 due to due to the food. The staff was very courteous and one lady even rushed outside in the cold weather cause someone in our group forgot to take his to-go box. The only thing that bumped down the rating to 4 star for me is the wait time is quite long when we were ready for our checks. But like I said, it's a solid 5 on the categories that count. Also since they opened though, their prices have just kept going up while the portions have remained the same.

I've been coming here for years (very glad they survived the pandemic) but never wrote a review. This quaint little cafe switches between self service and full service depending on if they have wait staff hired. The old guy sitting at the cashiers counter is the owner. The cafe is pretty laid back; when you come in, you're asked to seat yourself wherever. Menus are laminated and you're given a marker to make your choices. They have a food menu with pretty standard Taiwanese cuisine and they recently added a full drinks menu for Taiwanese milk teas. The cafe is usually pretty empty on most days but despite that they've managed to stay afloat for years. I've heard that they can get busy during mealtimes. They don't have ceramic plates. Instead the food comes on take-out boxes and paper plates to save on overhead cost. All menu items are in cash prices and while they accept credit card, there's a +3.75% surcharge so it's cheaper to pay cash. We ordered a marinated chicken leg with rice and a fried pork chop with rice. The thing I love about this place is the huge portions despite the reasonable prices. For $15.50, I can get a whole, super tender chicken leg, a ton of rice, veggies, meat sauce, and a tea egg. The chicken leg is juicy and delicious. The fried pork chop is a bit more expensive, comes with a giant fried pork chop that is very crispy and savory. Everything else is the same. This cafe isn't fancy by any means but you'll get a delicious meal for the value you pay.

Our friends said this is a go to spot so we had to tryTaipei station cafe. Don't let the paper plates fool you. The food is legit. we got the following Chicken roll Popcorn chicken Stir fried vegetables 4 spring soup Oyster omelette Spicy beef and tendon noodle soup Pork belly Fried chicken quarter leg Will be back when back in town

My family tried the fried pork chop, beef noodle soup, and oyster omelette. All were delicious and we came back the following weekend for more! This is my family top choice for Taiwanese food!

On recommendation of a friend, I came with my parents who are first generation Taiwanese Americans. It was so good that my dad mentioned that they could come here rather than fly to visit Taiwan. In order of what we enjoyed, Pork belly Gua bao, spicy Beef and tendon noodle soup, and to a lesser extent oyster pancake.

My family and I always order this place to-go, and it is definitely one of my favorites!! It used to be cash only but they have started taking Zelle payments now. One of my favorites is the large gua bao (not pictured) which has pork belly, mustard greens, peanuts, and cilantro. It is a perfect balance of sweet and salty and is delicious!! We also usually get the chicken roll and pork belly over rice. The taiwanese style chicken roll is a super nostalgic flavor for me, and it is absolutely everything I am looking for. They even cut the box when you take it home, so it stays nice and crispy. The pork belly over rice is AMAZING as well. It is definitely on the heavier/fatty side, so we like to share this dish but the taste is SO GOOD. The sides of cabbage and pork are so tasty as well! These are both go-to dishes we always get!! Overall, the cost of the food is on the pricier side; however, I think it is well worth it and always nice to support a local small business!! 10/10 would recommend - one of my favorite Taiwanese places!

I met a Taiwanese guy during pickup ultimate frisbee and I asked him where are some good eats, specifically Taiwanese. He recommended Taipei Station Cafe and so we went for lunch together. I had to pick out a few dishes to sample, so I ordered the following: Gua Bao Oyster Pancake, Beef noodle soup, Oyster & Intestines Noodle Soup, and Pork Belly over Rice. Overall, all the dishes were decent. However, the beef shank could have been more tender for their beef noodle soup. It's hard to find a Taiwanese restaurant that serves Orh Wa Mee Sua (Oyster & Intestines Noodle Soup), and I was glad Taipei Station Cafe had it on their menu. They reminded me of being in Taiwan, then wished I was in Taiwan to eat at the night markets! They serve their dishes in "to-go" bowls and plates, which I thought was interesting. The downside is their pricing, which I think is a bit on the high end. Definitely a whole in the wall type restaurant, which I love. When I'm in the Dallas area again, I'll keep Taipei Station Cafe in mind.
